About Me

I was born in the beautiful city of Thessaloniki in Greece. As long as I can remember myself I was fascinated by technology. I got my first personal computer at the age of 11. It was a Compaq Desktop Presario with an 80486DX2 CPU at 80 MHz with 4MB of RAM running DOS and Windows 3.1. (I still regret selling this piece of history to buy a new one, but I could not convince my parent not to. After that I did not sell any of my computers). Besides from exploring the capabilities of the operating system and playing games, I tried to learn the programming language BASIC which was included in DOS. At start it was very difficult because I did not speak any English at that time so I could not understand what the commands meant. I gave up after a while. A couple of years later I bought some books for Pascal and C which were written in my native language and experimented with those two.

I have experience in Java, Prolog, PHP, MySQL, Wordpress, Drupal, Git, Linux, Windows Server 2003 & 2008. Now my favorite programming language is Python which I use for Web Development, Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Linux Administration.
